Street Fighter V - Polish Open Championship

So my hype for SFV is growing constantly since last BETA of 2015 (another one live now since early morning!). Less than a month from official launch (16th of Feb) and I decided not to wait and bought PS4 dedicated stick as Capcom still fails to confirm if legacy controllers will be supported.

Didn't go with licensed Mad Catz because they pulled exactly the same shit as last time and tossed limited number of controllers which were sold in a matter of hours if not minutes. So good job fueling 2nd-hand market with overpriced accessories Mad Catz!

Anyway - just when I though my hype reached it's peak news hit today on PPE.pl that Cenega (official distributor for SFV in Poland) and PPE (media partner) are running first Polish Open Championship for Street Fighter V

Street Fighter V Beta Tournament at Warsaw Games Week 2015

[UPDATE] original story updated with link to SFV Beta fights

As mentioned in an earlier post I had a chance to attend a Warsaw Games Week. A gaming event designed as an industry showcase - much similar to E3 but obviously on a different scale and more focused on publishers rather than developers.

What was really awesome was that the whole event was heavily advertised (at least in Warsaw) as the ultimate gaming event in Poland. Venue was divided into two major halls one being dominated by Xbox and the other by Playstation. Nintendo had also quite a surprising presence with multiple WiiU and NDS stands - impressive for a company that doesn't have any official representation in Poland.

Nintendo stage - didn't want to take many pictures as it was overrun by kids - last thing you want to see is some fucking creeper taking pics of children, aye?

Warsaw Games Week 2015

Thanks to some good folk at backdash.pl I received an invitation for Warsaw Games Week 2015. Invite is connected with Street Fighter V promo-event held by Cenega (official distributor for SFV in Poland). Got invited to participate in some 'top 8 tournament' to showcase some fights in SFV Beta.

Will try to run around the floor on Friday, Saturday prior to the actual tournament day which is Sunday (fights starting every 30 minutes beginning at 10:30am and final fights scheduled for 3:30-4:00pm

Really humbled by this opportunity - plan to have some fun with Playstation VR and throw in some pics for the blog. Don't have any expectations when it comes to SFV as I'm waiting for full game release before giving it any real attention
